Privacy Policy

AFS may process information necessary to create and secure member accounts, operate products, record referrals, process deposits and withdrawals, calculate applicable rewards and maintain platform security.

Information we may process

This may include a member's name, Ugandan phone number, AFS User ID, selected sex for avatar assignment, account avatar, referral relationships, wallet and transaction records, product history, device information, IP address and support communications.

Why information is used

Information may be used to operate accounts, authenticate users, attribute referrals, process transactions, prevent fraud, maintain account records, provide support and meet applicable legal obligations.

Account security

Passwords should be stored using secure one-way hashing. AFS staff should not need to know or retrieve a member's original password.

Data sharing

Information may be shared with legitimate service providers where required for hosting, security, communications, transaction processing or legal compliance. AFS should not sell member personal information as an ordinary business practice.

Retention

Records may be retained for as long as reasonably necessary for account operation, security, transaction integrity, dispute handling and applicable record-keeping obligations.

Your account

Members may be able to review selected account information through their AFS profile. Some financial, security and audit records may need to remain stored even where an account is no longer actively used.
